ReplyDeleteA couple comments -- Something else we have done with parents that has been a hit is theatre. Whether it is the Goodman, Steppenwolf or a small theatre in the Lakeview/Lincoln Park/Edgewater neighborhoods, Chicago has so many great, unique experiences to offer. You can often get cheap tickets during the week or last minute.
Also, I would argue that the Signature Room restaurant on the 95th of the Hancock is a wonderful place for a celebratory dinner. If you request a window table when you make a reservation, you have wonderful views, often Navy Pier Fireworks, and excellent food.
Good luck with the blog - I look forward to visiting often :)
